A time for the golden Oldies

A right to enjoy culture. That was the main objective when a group of culture administration students invited old artists to show their art last week. Lundagards Irena Mila went by and got amazed.

Tears, hugs, smiles, were the result because of the six students Stella, Andrea, Sebastian, Lisa, Erik, Linda last week at the City Hall. The Students, who read Culture Administration, wanted to show with “Oldies but goldies” the creativity and sensibility for art work of old citizens from Lund within years.

The main goal of the event was to bring back the right to enjoy culture to the ones who were witnesses of the cultural development over the years.

Because, even when one’s eyes begin to see less, and knees get weaker, the hunger for enjoying life and all of its pleasures, especially art and creativity, doesn’t fade.

There is a lot that the rest of us can learn from the elderly, both in life and culture, so the happening in the City House in Lund suppose to be just the first opportunity for the Goldie’s to show us who we really are, where we come from, and of course, where we are going to be.

Ruth Carlsson is a poem and story writer. Through her tears she told us the story of her life, form the past till now.

With the soft sound of jazz Alis bröder showed us that, when once you will learn to play on instrument you will never forget again.

Teater Trots – It’s about a group of pensioners seeking of experiences, to catch as much as possible, to really live even though the days go faster and faster.

Ulva Ugerup Trough wanted to show the freedom of women, and the right for animals to live in her work.

Magda Cappelin with her 93 years, came and showed her poems and photographs. Gave a smile everyone, and told the story about her life.
