The police has confirmed for Lundagård that one person has died in connection to a bus accident at Bangatan. The deceased was run over by a car.
A student was eye witness to the events shortly after the accident around 7 PM on Friday night. He told that it was “complete uproar” and that people were lying on the street, screaming and crying. The restaurant’s awning was hit by the bus and got complete demolished, and the bus stood on the outdoor terrace, according to the student who passed by the accident site.
Several policemen were at the location and they fenced off Bangatan while an ambulance arrived. The area around Lund Station was closed off.

The water was scalding hot, 88 degrees Celsius and the fog was heavy at Clemenstorget. The emergency services said on Friday night to Lundagård’s reporter that the fog probably isn’t toxic, but that they weren’t completely sure yet.

“Warm water in combination with the cold has resulted in vapor and there are reports about an almost complete lack of view,” Nils Norling press officer at the police, said on Friday night.
The water leak was the result of a broken heating pipe at St. Laurentiigatan, below the All Saint’s Church. The emergency services urged the general public to respect the barricades, as there was a risk for collapse of the street due to the weakened soil. The emergency services had to assist getting several busses and other cars from the area that got stuck in the fog.
Around 9 PM, the leak had been stopped, but not after that several ten thousand liters of hot water had leaked out. The University’s School of Social Work is located about 100 meters from the source of the leak, but was never seriously threatened.
