Coop customers’ credit cards may have been hijacked

Irish safety management company, Loyaltybuilds, has been subjected to a computer hacking heist. It is possible that the hackers have access to people’s credit card data all over Europe. Coop uses some of Loyaltybuild’s service, and 140,000 people in Sweden may have been affected by this digital heist, especially people who have purchase a trip by using a Coop premium offer online. The Irish computer inspection service estimate approximately 376,000 people to be affected.

Alcohol addicts do not have to give up drinking

New studies show that approximately 600,000 are running the risk of having unhealthy drinking habits. 50,000 of these people have severely physical and mental difficulties, whereas about 250,000 function fairly well socially. However, Social Medicine Professor, Sven Andreasson claims that the phenomenon of total abstinence is a myth. He says it is important to map out people’s habits, have goals and remember that addiction to alcohol does not have to be the same thing as being completely socially deprived and excluded.

Dangerous USB charger in circulation

A dangerous USB charger model  is circulating all around Sweden. The National Electrical Safety Board says that the charger has been available as an iPhone 5 accessory, and they have decided that the company responsible for importing this charger, Q.Telecom, call it back. The reason for this is that the charger, when used, turns out to be a fire hazard and may give electrical shocks. Buyers of this charger are urged to return it, and the importer has been required to inform about the risks of this particular USB charger model.

New student apartments in city outskirts

84 new student apartments are currently being planned to be built in the outskirts of Malmö. 76 of these apartments will be 250 square feet, and the remaining 8 approximately 340 square feet. There has been a bit trepidation prior to the decision of building these apartments, since the apartments will be located in Kristineberg, which is quite far from Malmö center town. One of the reasons for this decision having been made is the Malmö public transport capabilities.
