Anna Lindh – a portrait with flaws
The cracked voice of the old man in Tom Alandh’s documentary about Anna Lindh belongs to her father, Staffan Lindh, an artist and convinced socialist. The voice cuts through the typical high quality narrative technique of Alandh.
“She was actually a little brave. If she didn’t think somebody belonged to the party, she defended her view against the party”, the father says.
It is a proud man and father of the former foreign minister of Sweden, tragically murdered 2003, who speaks. Ten years after her death the stories have grown more profound. We are allowed to get close to a young Anna and meet ambitious politicians.
Maybe ten years are not enough to get a perspective of the incomprehensible, which is why this not is the ultimate documentary.
