Are you getting tired of the rooms for group activities in your institute, but you don’t want to lock yourself in with your books at home by the kitchen table? In Lund, there are many study places to discover.
Tegnérsalen at UB High ceiling and walls decorated with portraits of serious characters, all of which are university librarians with vigilant facial expressions. UB’s quiet reading room earns its name: it’s QUIET! Coffee: 12 SEK
Café Athen
It may not be as solemn as the as the above, but on the other hand, AF-borgen’s groundfloor is excellent if you want to sit around with a couple of class mates. Coffee: 11 SEK
The library in Kungshuset
It’s a solemn little library where students of philosophy come together along with an occasionally visiting law student. The surroundings with their fine old traditions discourage you from logging on to Facebook – since that would be blasphemous! Border line top grade, but the dull vending machine coffee makes it drop.
LTH’s Studiecentrum Studiecentrum is big and offers many seats. Efficient and functional. If you ever get here, peer pressure alone will instantly make you lean over your books. Coffee: 5 SEK
