Midsummer – the real Swedish National Day
Since the National Day was introduced eight years ago, becoming a red day or a holiday, the blue-and-yellow celebration is said to becoming more organised. However, the public spontaneity is missing and according to ethnologists Midsummer is much more of a National Day than the National Day itself. Instead June 6th has become a big integration day for immigrants. This is the day when a lot of Swedish citizenships are distributed.

The study also showed that the suicide risk was almost three times higher with men compared to women.
