Water balloons, trash-littered fields, cross-dressers, and fire. These are only some of the things witnessed at Parentesen’s Brännboll tournament last Saturday.
The 30-year old annual Brännboll tradition was carried on at the Parentesen corridors last Saturday, when the grand final day was taking place. The crowd turn-out was great, with the balconies over-filled with enthusiastic and dancing spectators from above.
After almost 2 weeks of preliminary games, the tournament started off with the semi-finals on a sunny morning at 10:00, followed by the final at 14:00. Then at 15:20 the jumbo-final took place to determine the loser of the entire tournament.
In the end the C2 corridor won the tournament, while the C4 corridor finished in last place, which, by tradition, meant that they were given the duty of cleaning up the entire mess from the crowd’s trash-throwing at the tournament.
