At least 72 people implicated in exposed drug network
Lund A drug network of unprecedented size has been exposed in Lund, police officials stated at a press conference this Monday.
One person is said to be the main dealer, but at least 72 people have been implicated as buyers, some of them under the age of 18.
The dealer reportedly used text messages to advertise sales. Around 200 transactions are thought to have taken place since the investigation started last summer.
Woman fined for hitting molester
Lund Last summer, a 23-year-old woman struck a 27-year-old man hard enough to break his nose, in response to unwanted advances on the dance floor. Now the woman has been found guilty of abuse and has been sentenced to pay damages worth 1 860 SEK as well as a fine of 2 500 SEK.
The sum was lowered from the 25 000 SEK originally demanded by the man, as the court considered the assault to have been provoked by the man’s behavior. The woman has appealed the ruling.
200 pigs involved in transport accident
Eslöv A trailer containing 200 pigs overturned outside Harlösa on Monday morning, killing many of the animals and trapping others in the wreckage.
Total death toll among the pigs is said to be upwards of 50, as several had to be put down due to injuries sustained in the aftermath of the accident. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
12-year-old playing at war sparks manhunt
Lund Following reports about an armed man in combat fatigues skulking around, several police squads and a helicopter were deployed to residential area Klostergården this Sunday.
After failing to find anyone matching the description, the police spoke to tenants in the area, who were able to identify the supposed gunman as a 12-year-old boy living in the area, known for his fondness for dressing up when playing at war.
