The student life cooperative want become more visible in the city. Now they want to place a sign at the station.

The county’s student council has given the go ahead, and the Studentlund representatives have filed the request. Now it’s up to the municipal administration – will the 19 membership organisations of the Studentlund – cooperative be allowed to advertise their existence at Lund’s central station?

“We hope to make Studentlund more visibly noticeable, as well as create a gathering spot at the station”, says Ragnvi Melin, the communications chief of the Academic society, AF, who together with Studentlund coordinator Anna Sterner signed the motion to the county.

The goal is to get the sign with Studentlund’s orange and purple colours up as early as the start of the fall semester of 2013. If the sign gets an okay from the county, it’s just a matter of finding someone to pay for the sign.

“The plan is to find sponsors who are willing to finance it, and that’s the county’s job. As far as I know, it looks quite promising”, says Anna Sterner.

But won’t nearly all the signs be pointing in the same direction from the station, except for Blekingska?

“Yes, it will be kind of a fun thing. Apart from them it will probably be a pretty clustered bunch”, says Rangvi Melin.
