Lines, applications and keys. After an busy day some organizations provide chill out for the newly arrived.
– We wanted to give them something extra after they have finished the day, says student union vice chairman Angelica Kauntz.
From Tuesday morning till evening, about 1400 international students are expected to arrive to the AF- Castle in Lundagård to pick up their keys and other belongings before starting of the term in Lund.
But, once everything is settled and most students got their place to go, the International Desk and the The Student union of Humanities and Theology wants to bring people together.
– Once you have your room and your stuff is there, it might easily get a bit lonely. We want to bring people together on their first nights in town, says the vice chairman of the student union(HTS), Angelica Kauntz.
So Tuesday evening, both parts will organize separate events for the newcomers.
At 6 pm on Stora Algatan 4, there will be a game-night and mingle by the International desk. And at Helgonabacken 12, the The Student union of Humanities and Theology invites to a movie-night on the theme “Swedish vacation”, starting at 7 pm.
