Lund is beautiful. But what is there to do when the student environment starts to bore you? Meet the locals and find your new favorites.
Bodil Carlsson is 56 years old and lives in Lund since the 1970s. She is teacher assistant:
“I recomment going to the Mejeriet disco for dancing. I really like this place during the nights. There is lot of choice, moving hips on the salsa nights, jazz night, music from the films, is pretty energetic place, with different schedule. And you can see people for every kind of age. To eat out I suggest the Spisen restaurant and bar. If i remember it right, this is one of the oldest restaurants. I prefer to go with my friends during the days and nights, but if we want to have nice food, quite music, and good talk, you have more pleasures in one. To many stories are told there, and to many hours of quality time.”
Simon Wilkens is 21 year old and studies law in his third semester in Lund. Originally he is from Jönköping in Småland:
“Now that the spring arrives you should check out the Sankt Hans Backar (hills). It is a old waste dump in the north of the city which has been converted into a big park. I go to jogg there or just to enjoy the great view over Skåne. With good weather you can see Malmö, the bridge and the sea. As soon it gets warmer, I will meet up with my friends there to have a barbeque.”
