This year’s edition of the eee-days was packed to the brim in the three buildings of Ekonomicentrum. 75 corporation exhibitions tried to attract some of the thousands and thousands of students who attended the event.
No less than 75 corporations had exhibitions during two days; several different-themed lectures were held to inspire the 4,000 attending students in different ways.
Lundaekonomerna’s eee-days were held for the 32nd time and spirits at the venue are high and buzzing. Chairperson Jesper Sundström is pleased.
”Actually, this event goes back further than Lundaekonomerna themselves! Focus is on recruiting and the conference is supposed to be a meeting place for corporations and students,” he says.
Visitors wish to network
Sandra Wallin and Hanna Jängnemyr are both in their last semester of the Economics Programme and they are looking forward to all the different activities that will be offered in the two-day conference.
“Among other things, I want to speak to corporations and create a network – as preparation for life after university. I am looking forward to the banquet Pytten, and the team challenges with the corporations! I am with the PwC-team,” Sandra says.
“And I am on team Grant Thornton,” Hanna says. She also wishes to pose questions to all the corporation representatives.
Corporations looking for competent students
Pontus Werner and Camilla Eskilsson are both employees in the company Cerberus, and both of them see advantages in hosting an exhibition case.
“We work at an advisement business for individuals and we are looking for future colleagues. There are many competent students here in Lund, and this is a good forum,” Pontus Werner says, and adds:
“We have been to other seats of learning as well, and it is a bit extra fun being in Lund.”
He thinks that the eee-days is a good opportunity to be visible, for one, but also to lower the barrier of establishing contacts.

“This means a lot. Firstly, our brand receives more attention and can come to be recognised among students. Secondly, it is a good forum for students to ask questions,” he says.
More than just market-mingling
But the conference is not all free from student-related elements. Apart from the two days with corporations’ exhibitions, two evening activities are also arranged. The conference was finished by the festive banquet Pytten, during which bubble and squeak (pytt i panna) was served in the AF-building. The banquet took place on Thursday 25 February.
Jesper Sundström can see great advantages for students who visit the conference.
“Come here, take a chance and go talk to corporations you find interesting – one of them might become your future employer! The corporations are there to focus on you,” he says happily and disappears in the crowd.
