As a new student in Lund, it can be hard to know which Nation to join. Luckily, Lundagård have crowned the best alternative.

Long have scholarly academics at our University of ancient lineage wrestled with the big. Shamefully however, it seems that the most important question of all has been neglected. That is, which Nation is the best one? But this is something we have decided to change.

In our assessment, we have tried to take every aspect of the Nations’ operations, into consideration such as whether the Nations can provide roof over your head, varied high-quality entertainment and information comprehensible to all students.

Our parameters are as follows: which Nation has the most residences; has booked the biggest artist; has the most beneficial member discounts; has most club concepts, has information in English on their webpage; and which ones currently carry the environmental certification Nation Frog.

Every Nation that wins one of the four first categories is awarded one point, as are the Nations which currently have the Nation Frog. The one that is awarded the most points according to our system is declared Lund’s best Nation.

These are the results:

Helsingkrona has the most residences (354). Malmö Nation has booked the biggest artist commercially (Avicii). Malmö Nation has the best benefits, as all members are given free admission to every nightclub. Smålands, Blekingska, and Sydskånska have the most varied clubs (four each).

The Nations who have English information on their webpage are: Blekingska, Kalmars, Wermlands, Hallands, Smålands and Kristianstad.

Finally, the Nations who currently have the Nation Frog are: Wermlands, Smålands, Helsingkrona, Kristianstad, and Sydskånska.

Altogether, Smålands is the winner with three strong points.

Now everyone can sleep peacefully knowing that the student life’s best Nation is, once and for all, crowned.
