Sometimes, we come to be limited during our weekday rush, be it through time or energy constraints, for then, the answer is not to order fast food but instead it’s taking 20 minutes out of your day to prepare something much more engrossing and savoury!
A Scanian “Äggakaga” is more reminiscent of a savoury pancake than anything else, simply based of; eggs, flour, milk and seasoning, it provides a stable basis for a quick meal and offers endless possibilities when it comes to additions and variations in its presentation and supplementation.
Simply mix the eggs, flour and milk in a large bowl, beat for 5 minutes and add to a heated skillet and “bake” for 10-15 minutes at low heat, take care in covering the skillet with a id so that it bakes evenly, check back regularly so that it doesn’t burn!
When ready; serve with salted pork, sautéed mushrooms, pickled gherkins and hazelnuts.
