Lost in the culture djungle? Here are some tips for the weekend by Lundagård’s Paula Dubbik.
October 3rd – 10th
Still two nights left of Lund’s Fantastisk Film Festival! Don’t miss the change to see movies from all over the world and see whether the program’s something of your taste. More about how to buy a ticket here.
High culture alarm on Friday and Monday: on Friday, Concerto Copenhagen, a Danish baroque group, will give a concert with works of Bach, another Bach and Telemann in the University Hall. Pricy event, but a must-hear if you’re really into baroque music.
On Monday, the Museum of Sketches offers a concert with music of Beethoven, Mozart and Schubert by Lunds Kammermusiksällskap. Starts at 7 PM.
On Saturday at Mejeriet, treat your ears to some musical wonder with vibraphones, glockenspiels, music boxes, accordions and plenty more instruments – 30 more in fact – when Wintergatan take to the stage. Wet your appetite here.
Out in nature? Follow Lunds’s Association for Nature Conservation when they bike to different apple trees on Sunday afternoon for harvesting. After that, the collected apples will be transformed into applesauce in the association’s greenhouse in the City Park. Start at 1 PM from Stortorget, bring bags for apples and a bottle for sauce.
