In a tent outside Samvetet the commerce will run wild tomorrow. Books, clothes, household utensils will be given away from the free store.

“Many of the students might not have had room for winter clothes in their luggage or have not been able to afford to buy new things for their housing at the beginning of the term. We have a lot of international students at the faculty and we felt that we wanted to help them. Therefore we arrange the Free Store”, says Claudia Kours, event coordinator at the Social Science Student Union.

Needs to be transportable

So far people have donated books, clothes and kitchenware. Claudia Kours now hope that more people will donate things and especially smaller furnitures.

“Everything can be donated as long as it’s not broken or junk. It also needs to be fairly transportable since a lot of the students don’t have a car”, she says.

Free Store will take place tomorrow between twelve and four o’clock outside the premises of the Social Science Student Union in the block called Paradiset.
