Fire in student accommodation injures three

Lund A malfunctioning stove led to a fire at Lund Nation last Saturday morning, resulting in three people being taken to the hospital with minor injuries. In addition, several tenants had to be evacuated from the building. Both the police and the fire department have labelled the incident an accident. The Nation’s Kurator Oskar Palmerot says that the evacuation procedure worked exceedingly well.

No changes to the fire safety regulations at Lund Nation have been deemed necessary.

Malmö Tax Agency entrance wrecked by explosion

Malmö A powerful explosion rocked the offices of the Tax Agency in Malmö this Wednesday. Aside from demolishing parts of the building’s exterior, the blast was potent enough to destroy the door and disperse glass, metal and bricks over an area of at least twenty meters. No one was injured and there are no current suspects.

Father assaulted son’s schoolmate

Malmö Last November, following a schoolyard quarrel between his 8-year-old son and another boy, a 37-year-old man set upon his son’s opponent and roughly shoved him to the ground while his 28-year-old wife shouted verbal abuse. Now the man and woman have been charged with assault and threatening behavior, respectively.

Naked man holding bible stopped in Lund

Lund A naked man was seen wandering through Lund this Sunday, brandishing a bible, apparently with the intention of holding a sermon at the Lund Cathedral. Before he could complete his goal, however, he was seized by the police and dropped off at the psychiatric ward at St Lars’ hospital.
