This fall, the Academic Society, AF, plans to occupy the Lundagård park. During 60 hours, the park will be filled with celebrating members of the “AF-family.”

The AF-project 60val is planned to take place between September 20-22nd this year.  Five of the Academic Society’s sections will provide the area surrounding the Lundagård park with sound, vision and life for 60 hours.

The 60val will fall on the same dates as Kulturnatten, but according to Project Manager Hilda Kjellberg the overlapping will help rather than hinder.

”In the last couple of years, Kulturnatten’s visitors have been regarded as older, around 30-plus. Our intention is to attract a younger audience, which will give Kulturnatten new faces while at the same time their visitors can partake in our project,” says Hilda Kjellberg.

The festival is indeed a marathon, but to the committees of the society it’s not just a test of how long you can stay awake.

“Broadly speaking, it’s about showing a uniformity that is not always observed. The people working on the festival are in many respects those who make the Academic Society possible. The festival therefore becomes a culmination where the ‘whole family’ is shown off so to speak,” Hilda Kjellberg continues.

But there’s no party without people, even during preparations. The Academic society has started taking in applications for their ensemble during the festival.

“We aim to get 50-60 people in total for our ensemble, but the festival will truly be what we make of it,” says Hilda Kjellberg.
