The student housing at Koppargården in Landskrona was robbed by four masked men on Friday evening 8/3. Two people were threatened with a knife by the offenders who are still on the loose.
At about 19.30 on Friday the robbers broke into the dorm through a window. They then threatened the two men who were in the house at the time with a knife.
– They got hold of cell phones, laptops and some cash, says Eva-Lotta Hermansson Truedsson, informant at the Landskrona Police Office.
The area around Koppargården has been a trouble spot for some time. It’s got to the point were security officers have been called in to patrol the dorms on weekend evenings.
– There’s a lot of bad stuff happening here. I was subjected to a burglary this Christmas and in January there was a shooting 50 meters from here, says tenant Emelie Kronbäck.
Due to the problems, many of the residents are looking for new homes.
– I’m in the process of moving, I don’t want to live there anymore. Almost everyone feels the same way, says Emelie Kronbäck.
According to EvaLena Cronhamn, process owner at Landskronahem, they are working continuously on trying to make Koppargården a safer place.
– We’re keeping an eye on it and are working on improving the living environment through putting up lights and trimming down bushes, she says.
On Friday evening the police were searching the area for the perpetrators, but so far there are no suspects.
– They had masked themselves so that only their eyes were visible, says Eva-Lotta Hermansson Truedsson.
The event has been classified as aggravated robbery and property damage.
