On the night before Tuesday the period of application expired for the three editor posts. In June, Lundagård will get new editors. “Among the applicants we find high competence and there is an even gender distribution”, says Hanna Gunnarsson, chairman of the board at Lundagård.
Now begins the electoral process where the board of Lundagård will appoint an election committee to go through the applications.
“I have not had the time to read them all yet, but everyone seem to have good qualifications”, says Lundagård chairman Hanna Gunnarsson.
Available are three posts that the ten applicants are fighting for. Several have applied for two or all three posts.
“In the election committee we will look for various qualities. For example, I will look a bit closer at the candidates’ experience of leading non-profit associations, while others in the committee will look for journalistic competence”, says Hanna Gunnarsson.
On April 11 2013 the nomination of the committee will be handed over to the Lund University Student Unions, who will elect the new editors at a typo on May 16. The editor trio is appointed for two years.
