Wallström chairman for another three years

Lund. Margot Wallström has just accepted to be chairman at the university for another three years. According to Sydsvenskan.se, she says that the university has five areas that need to strengthen its positions. Among these areas is dissemination of research, which Margot Wallström wants to modernize.

“Today we have to use a little more modern way to communicate. The way to reach out with what is going on is already very promising, but we can do much more”, Wallström says.

Cow theft can be fraudulent

Sweden. It was right before Christmas when a farmer in Södermanland reported that 69 cows had disappeared without a trace from his homestead. But during the investigation, the farmer’s story didn’t add up. Chief Prosecutor Robert Eriksson decided thus to drop the investigation and instead open a preliminary investigation of attempted aggravated fraud.

“I don’t think there was room to carry out the crime during the night that the notifier states”, says chief prosecutor Robert Eriksson to DN.

Unclear with a Millenium-sequel

Sweden. When the American version of “The girl with the dragon tattoo” had premier in 2011, it didn’t go as well as anticipated. It is therefore unclear whether David Fincher will do the sequel “The girl who played with fire”.
Rooney Mara, who played Lisbeth Salander, hopes that there will be a second movie.

“I really wish they could make a decision. I would love to play Lisbeth Salander again and I would very much like to come back to Sweden, Mara says as TT spectra met her at the Berlin Film Festival.

20 000 tickets already sold for the European Championship

Sweden. On Thursday, the tickets to the women UEFA Euro 2013 in Sweden were released. During the first four hours, 20 000 tickets were sold. Tournament Director Göran Havik was surprised with the flow.

“I have no words to describe how overwhelmed I am with this interest”, says Havik to TT.

The UEFA European Football Championship will be played in Gothenburg, Halmstad, Växjö, Kalmar, Norrköping, Linköping and Solna between the 10th and 28th of July.
