On August 30 and September 6 there will be bicycle auctions held at LTH. Take the chance to get yourself a bicycle for your stay in Lund.
“Pick out a number of bicycles that you’re interested in before the auction begins, says organizer Fredrik Gustavsson from the Technical Services Committee.”
Around 500 bicycles were collected by the Technical Services Committee and Lundahoj this Spring. On Thursday, about 150 of them will be auctioned off.
“Collecting the bicycles isn’t really a lucrative business”, says Fredrik Gustavsson, parking manager at the Technical Services committee in Lund and person in charge of the bicycle auctions.
“We mainly collect them to keep the bicycle stands tidy.”
If I haven’t found my bicycle and it’s been collected, when can it end up at the auction?
“First of all the bicycle comes to us. Then we and the police try to contact the owner. After three months it goes to the local authority and then it can be put up for auction.”
So, Bring out your best betting-spirits and head to the V-house if you want to get new weels in time for autumn.
