Both Lunds and Östgöta Nation surely know how to make social awareness go student-life style when they work together with Naturskyddsföreningen and the UPF.
On the 10th of May The Association of Foreign Affairs (UPF) Travel Committee will be holding a fundraising event at Östgota Nation for their trip to Colombia.
Why: They will be raising funds for Casa De La Momeria, an organisation that aids the country’s 4 million internal refugees. The event revolves around the Latin American culture and the highlight of the evening would possibly be the clothes swapping session.
“Latin America has been the focus of the media for a long time, so we are now putting the issue out there to create awareness and a movement for the cause,” says Fatima Osman, member of the UPF Travel Committee.
Similarly, there will be a clothes swapping session in Lunds Nation today from 6 to 9pm to encourage environmentally friendly living by the collaboration between a group of students from Behavioural Sciences and the environmental company Naturskyddsföreningen.
“Don’t miss out, you never know if you might find a diamond among the rough!” says Fatima Osman.
