During the eee-days this week, student representative Emma Jungmark was selected as “future young leader”.

“This definitely helps me gain even more confidence in myself for what I plan on doing in the future.”

A notable part of this year’s economic career fair was the competition leading up to the two prizes, “Leader of the Future” and “Young Leader of the Future”

Emma Jungmark, vice chairwoman of Lunds Student Unions (LUS) won the latter prize.

“I was definitely very surprised and very glad that someone had thought to nominate me. The fact that someone had looked at my merits and my work and decided that I was worthy of this prize feels like an honor.”

Two others also competed in the final for this particular title, but Jungmark was ultimately determined as the sole winner.

How do you feel about being nominated for this honor?

“This prize is proof for me, and shows that I have the potential to develop my skills and good potential to lead other people.”

Not in the least, Jungmark does not deny that the prize will be a gain for her CV when she applies for jobs later on. “It’s definitely something worthy of putting under my list of accomplishments later on.”

Why do you think you were nominated?

“The work I have done as a chairwomen for LUS could have surely played a role in my nomination. Somebody must have noted that”

Jungmark has been studying Service Management and hopes to continue into tourism in the future. The prize may not have involved too much glamor or money, but the winners did gain entry into the course “Det personliga uttrycket” (roughly translated, ‘The Personal Expression’) which will be offered in Stockholm this fall.
