The fly of the crows

The fly of the crows

As the dusk falls,

and the daylight softens,

the birds arrive taking over the sky;

and so the dance begins.

Different geometric shapes taking place

as acrobatic maneuvers are performed;

a reminiscence of perennial fantasies of liberty.

Someday the sky is dressed on a light blue,

the horizon flares a reddish tone;

how can one be indifferent?

So there I am, standing still,

beholding the crows flying over my head

while listen to their vernacular squawks.

Their moves are delicate;

their stride transcendental.

With their wings wide open

they glide in delight, effortlessly.

The minutes pass by in the blink of an eye,

and the darkness sucks in the last fragile breaths of light.

One by one, black birds fly in retreat,

to perch somewhere on treetops.

After the amusement, their sacred repose.

The night has arrived.
